Who would have guessed the odds that four of my best real life friends would turn out to be fantastic fic writers? (Well, considering that two of them introduced me to Buffy and fanfic and I met the other two through fic, pretty good odds, actually.)

Spike/Angel (R to NC-17)
Post Angel finale "Not Fade Away"
Incredibly original, fantastic characterization, edge of the seat "holy shit, what's gonna happen now?" Character voices that resonate (all incredible, but Xander blows me away because she mentioned being afraid she'd pick up my take on Xander. Uh-uh. Her's is better.)

Wesley/Cordy (R to NC-17)
Written for
winter_of_wes. I've already blathered about how she writes incredible Wesley voice. I can't write Wesley, therefore I stand in awe. Now she's added Cordy to the spot on voice and taken them into an AtS Season 3 "Birthday" AU that has some of the best fic interaction I've ever seen. She rips me out of my Spander world and makes me love it.

Drusilla & Xander, hints of Spike/Xander (Hard PG-13)
I asked for this, uh, grouping? Triad? Along with a prompt of absinthe. She tied it to her Pay No Mind to the Rabble 'verse and did something amazing. Are you reading "Rabble"? Post-"Not Fade Away," S/X with Angel, Gunn, Illyria and Dru thrown into the mix? Unbelievable. Vinnie writes utterly glorious prose and any fic that can have both a perfect Dru voice and a dead-on Illyria voice deserves to be read (and encouraged with squees.)

Spike/Angel (Er, sort of.) (R)
After her terribly amusing Spike and Angel do "Gone With the Wind": Gone, Went My Mind, (which had me quoting: "Somebody ‘bout tuh lose a perfectly good mulatto vampire ass-baby" for days) I encouraged her (plied her with booze) to write their take on "The Sound of Music," which she and I have not a little affection for. She cast Xander in the role of Liesl, made Spike a singing nun that does Ghost of the Robot covers, threw Darla into the role of Reverend Mother, Cordelia as The Baroness and generally made me laugh my ass off. Like musicals? Penis jokes? Vampire nuns? Yeah, me, too.
So there you go. Proof that my best friends make me look like I write fic on Big Chief tablets with crayon. That's okay. I'm an adorer, and they're all easy to adore.
