Following along with the derivative, but if Lane can make one for Lorelai, then I can make one for you! A song for every year of your life -- replete with inside jokes and fandom references and even a few just because they sum it all up. And when am I ever gonna have a chance to put Black Flag and REO on the same mix again?

I tried to think of all the many important things I should tell you about how much your friendship means to me and why I love that fandom finally gave me what I've wanted since I was three - a baby sister (I actually got two of them! And the three of us are so Benneton ad!) But it's just all the small things that I love most.

The fact that you can compose coherent sentences out of an amalgam of Buffy, Supernatural and Gilmore Girls quotes. That you send me random cover songs - the more surreal the better - and random acts of Chad Michael Murray on a semi-daily basis. That I could call you right now and say, "No. I don't know. I don't know what kind of racially insensitive syrup we use," or "Pack of smokes. Brick of cheddar. What are we doing?" and you'd crack the hell up. That our first phone call in 2004 lasted four hours and at least three of them were devoted to the shadows Nick Brendon's eyelashes make on his cheeks. That you can look at a crock pot or a space heater and tell me the brand and serial number. That Caza loves you almost as much as I do. That you write prose better than I do because it allows me to say I'm the funny one. Fandom's given me many great things -- and hours of distraction -- but you rank right up there with Eliza Dushku's eyeliner, Nick Brendon's smile, Charisma Carpenter's laugh, Jared Padalecki's crotch-shots and David Boreanaz's chicken-fear. (And I love that you know there could be no higher praise from me.)

Firefly: I... *sniffle* I'm speechtypeless. *breathes* Oh DEAN. Oh SAMMY. And with the sun flare and all the Sam angle shots and JOHN found serenity! And the wide shots and I LOVE YOU.

The Creek: My Chad! And lil Mikey Rosenbaum. Oooh, Trailerdoorframe!Jared, oooh, sittingonabed!Jensen. And all the flares were perfect, but especially on the end pic!

But for years I've been wondering, who the fuck is DEVON?!?!

And, lord, was I really only 10 (probably 9) when 'Lithium' was released as a single? I don't remember feeling like a kid, but I remember watching video on 120 minutes. But of course, I'd probably just gotten home from seeing 'Interview with a Vampire' at the theater.

heeeee! This is so awesome and funny - and I say that as a non-SPN fan. I'm impressed at how well all those clips worked, especially the GG and Charlie's Angels! It's surprising how many similar type shots you found to the GG credits. And I absolutely love the Dawson's Creek one and how you even had them diving in the water like in the DC credits!!!

Sam & Dean spend a lot of time in cafes, so I knew I would probably be able to match that one (sadly, there is no clip of Sam and Dean painting each other's toes.) And Vinnie had just commented a while back that the "If you're out on the road..." worked so well for them. They dive in the water??? I'm only up to Season One with DC, so the credits for it just have the pictures with the sunflares. I'm glad that worked - it just screamed "creek" to me (and that shot is from the episode with Amy Acker. *g*) Thank you so much - this was fun to do!
