The worst tornado I have ever been DIRECTLY affected by (when I was around Jonah's age) wrapped my swingset/jungle gym completely around the oak tree in our front yard and destroyed our roof. We were in the storm cellar and I just heard the freight train sound people describe. I've never actually felt the winds like that, and I can't imagine the terror.
