Not having to be answerable anymore: I thought that worked for the way Xander felt about Giles, but it was also a lot of the way I felt after my mom died. I was 25, and I suddenly felt like I didn't have to do "the right thing" anymore because she wasn't here to be disappointed. It took me a long time to realize that I could still do the right thing for myself. I've read a lot of first times with S/X, too, and I'm thrilled that this one worked that well for you. I wanted it to be hot but have realism and humor. Thank you so much, your comments are always so wonderful!
