Drive By Vacation
Aug. 23rd, 2012 11:33 pmRoad trip! We drove into Phoenix for our nephew's wedding and Jonah (who just turned 4!) went on his first multi-state road trip. All 3 Toy Story movies and he did fine. We stopped in Flagstaff where we bought his wedding outfit and he told me that he wanted to be stylish and "stylish boys wear bow ties to weddings." Sadly, there were no bow ties to be found at the Flagstaff mall, but I did hook him up with a suit vest, slacks and apricot shirt with coordinating Windsor knot tie, hah!
I tried to post this from LJ mobile, but the mountains were not in agreement.
A bear! You made a bear! Undo it! Undo it! (In Alaska, NM this morning.)
Jonah has had a dip in one of the resort pools (it has a water park) and is now curled up on the couch watching Yo Gabba Gabba and eating a PB&J and fruit cup from room service because I'm a total pushover (and my SIL comped the room, so I can throw around $15 + tip for a PB&J and some strawberries).
Eddie has food poisoning.
I'm exhausted after a prolonged day of driving and shopping. Tomorrow: Tombstone, AZ
