Go rest high on that mountain

I have sadly been in and around LJ fandom long enough to know of several people from both fandom and my own friends list who have passed. It's always a shock to me each time, because we always seem so safe here -- almost immortal. I was so shocked this evening to learn of _tayler's passing that I can't put it into words. As so many others have said, her talent for graphics and her incredible generosity were always in rich supply. I could cajole her with the promise of Angel/Xander fic into making me, oh, pretty much anything -- from goofy Spike/Xander OTP icons to my baby-to-be's webiste graphics -- even after she hipped to the fact that the promised Angel/Xander was naught but hopefully bartered smokescreen (she liked me anyway.) The last few icons I snagged from her are SPN, but I re-uploaded this Willow/Tara comic one because it seems appropriate, given what a fantastic reader and cheerleader she was, and because I feel it sums up a lot of the whimsy in her artwork. She was a great lady -- fun, funny, totally without drama and a true fangirl in all the ways that matter.
