I really don't expect anyone to understand. Writing is writing is writing. Every bit you do, if you're insightful at all, improves the whole. This realm is great for getting the essential FB about what works, otherwise you would be writing in a void. Because it's not like review boards do anything more than accept/reject. *shrugs* Exercise, baby. It's good. Would he rather have you writing tripe you care nothing about in order to try to sell it to a particular audience? The time is yours, the effort is yours. Do whatever you want with it, and I think working on your craft, however you need to do that, is time damn well spent.
