In response to my shuttling Anya off to England (to make the way for Spike/Xander, of course) in my Sunday Morning Coming Down fic, my long suffering, forced to read slash, husband has taken up the cause of edifying his beloved Anyanka. It's his first fic, so be gentle (he does spell well and can turn the clever phrase):

Anya's Story by El Cazavampiros

(He thought of that name all on his own, and I can hear [livejournal.com profile] karabair and [livejournal.com profile] uberaeryn chuckling in appreciation.)

Ooooh, lovely! :::smooches to the hubby:::

Always good to welcome a new fic writer! *waves to El Cazavampiros* Can't wait for more!

The family that fics together. . . not finishin' that, no how, no way! Insert your own rhyme, but whoo hoo for sue and hubby!

:: hugs your hubby ::

Make him continue this, it's good. His Anya voice is excellent. (That sounds funny in my head; a man with a woman's voice, heh. --Pay no attention to the severely medicated ramblings behind the curtain.)

Anyway, I really enjoyed it and I'm glad he gave an explanation as to how Anya lived/supported herself before working at the Magic Box; that always bugged me.

I'm not replying to this, no I'm not, because my beta has me chained to Word where I'm working industriously on Part 6, yes I am.

Anyway, my husband thanks you *so* much. I beta'd this story for him and I was through 3rd reading as I posted it before I realized (duh) that it was written in 1st person. I was like...huh, good chick voice, dude. He's Snoopy dancing all over the living room at his first bit o' fb love.

Okay, back to my story.

He's bouncing all over the room - an official feedback junkie! Thanks for checking him out. He was very impressed when I told him you were in my troika of best fic writers.

praise you like I shouuuuuuuuuuuld. (Now do the FatBoy Slim dance!)
This had me laugh out loud:

"They filled me with the joy that I now associate with ready cash."

Bwah ha!! Such a good Anya voice. Then there was: "no taste of rabbit whatsoever." God, Anya was one of my most favorite characters in the Jossverse. So pointed and matter of fact. My absolute favorite thing she said was in Tabula Rasa: "Calm down, Joan."

Good job! I'll R7R if you keep posting. Very fun read, and well structured.

Yup, my cousin, the Tiny Toddling Terror was just picked up so I'm gonna go get something to eat (craving McDonald's like crazy and I don't even like McDonald's that much) and then look over the rest of pt. 6.

Thanks for the feedback. I always thought Anya was the most neglected character. Hell, her picture isn't even on any of the DVDs!! (Maybe S7, we'll see.) My wife made me get a live journal so she wouldn't have to email my feedback. I'll try to post again soon.
Sue tried to take credit for the "ready cash" line just because she changed it from "lots of money." Some people will do anything for praise! Thanks for the comment and if I ever get to use the computer, I will continue the story.

I've heard that is quite common with Oklahoma women. You know, the taking credit thing. Ha!! I kid. And I kid because I'm from Texas. Both are equally funny! But el cazavampiros is the Best. LJ name. Evah!
