Bogarted Post-Drunk Post

So I was gonna post about how [livejournal.com profile] uberaeryn and I went out last night to have a couple of beers and discuss the ends of "Fading" and "Sunday Morning Coming Down," respectively, but she's an LJ bogartin' biotch and already wrote something funnier.

"Drunk. Fic. Coyotes."

She forgot to mention her suggestion that Sunday Morning end with Spike and Xander driving off into the sunset (?) listening to "Don't Stop Believin'."

She also forgot that I briefly became embarrassed that the bartender kept interrupting our conversation to bring more beer, usually as I was saying something like, "Well, I think I get compliments on my Xander voice because, unlike the people I can't write, say Angel and Oz, I would totally do Xander." That doesn't even make sense, but once I overheard bad hair/feral coyote man (read [livejournal.com profile] uberaeryn's post) talking about margarine vs. butter, I felt my topic of conversation was validated.

What do you think are the chances that the bartender watches/watched Buffy and knew what you were talking about? Isn't it amusing to consider the possibility that he recognized the names?

It sounds like you had a great time.

A fine time was had by all (I'm including bad!hair man, who possibly heard [livejournal.com profile] uberaeryn yelling, "Coyotes aren't feral, dammit!" at him across the bar, but was too scared of her tiny blonde self to take her on.)

That was my concern, that the bartender (female and the right age) knew who Buffy, Xander, Gunn and Oz were and was laughing at our great debate. Luckily, Bennigans is just a hop down I-40 from our houses and we live 2 blocks from each other, so all was well.
Caza was all, "Hey! Did you have a great time? How was Kathy? Did you fangirl it up?" when I got home, but I was in the, "Can't talk - comin' down" mode and just took off my make-up, fought with my jeans and crashed, still mumbling something about gruffy Wes.

Or scruffy Wes. It probably was "gruffy" at that point, though.
