Delayed Gratification? Not for people with small attention spans.

My friend Angie (whose baby I keep during the week) brought me a slice of chocolate mousse cake from La Baguette, Oklahoma City's best only French bakery. I can't eat it until Jonah takes his afternoon nap (which varies from 2:00ish to 4:00ish) because I don't let him eat very many sweets, I don't let him eat sweets unless I make them and I don't let him eat chocolate at all yet -- and if he sees me eating, he will want. So it is sitting in the fridge in all of its glorious, rich, fluffy chocolateyness and I'm living on the Lean Cuisine pizza I had for lunch. Siiiigh.

To kill time while I wait for Jonah to stop turning circles in the living room while saying, "Whoa! Ut-woah!" should I:

1) Compose a post listing all the Buffyverse ships that I saw in canon or found in fandom and tell you while I love or dislike (but mostly love) them?

2) Compose a post talking about why I'm not a big romance fan and I've never once felt the need to yell "Fix it!" to a fic with an angsty or realistic (for the Buffyverse) ending?

3) Finish and post my stunning Buffy/Angel crack-AU roller skating fic in time for the Olympic closing ceremonies?

4) Take a break from the Buffyverse and tell YOU why you're awesome?

The S/Xness got derailed by two things:
1) Kimberly's S/X meta which was so glorious
2) Thinking about writing new things, pairings and genres.

I have it on the back burner, percolating, though.

Man, i miss good French pastry-type stuff. I used to work for this woman who had a restaurant and she had stuffed croissants, savory ones for meals and fruit ones for dessert/breakfast and omg, omg, omg. So freakin' good.

Just out of curiosity, why do you not let your Bebe eat chocolate? Is it an allergy thing or...?

I could live on croissants. I would be pantless due to this lifestyle, but that's okay.

My mom was allergic to chocolate and it gives my brother migraines, so I'm holding off on it until he's a little older. He's a huge fan of banana desserts and oatmeal cookies, though!

I love croissants so much. The cherry-filled ones were just.... When she decided she didn't want to do 'a business' anymore, she gave me all the stuff she had that she wasn't going to sell. Whooot! We ate like kings for a couple weeks!

La Baguette! Most economically priced whole vanilla beans in the world. Except for when they were actually IN France. Good lord I miss OKC. You all I'll see in May, but OKC will be left out of the equation. Sadness.

Can I just say how happy, happy, happy I am to see you back to fandom? You've always been positive and optimistic, and your fanfics are awesome!
